 Flotilla 66 is located in Yorba Linda, CA and is part of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.  We conduct safety patrols on the Pacific coastal waters and local waterways, assist the Coast Guard with homeland security duties, teach boating safety classes, conduct free vessel safety checks for the public, as well as many other activities.  National Save Boating Week Event hosted by Flotilla 66

Second Annual Float and Fly Show

Fullerton, Calif, May 22, 2010 …..The U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will join with the City of Fullerton, CA., to host a one day event at the Fullerton Airport located at 4011 W. Commonwealth Ave., Fullerton, CA. The event starts at 9 AM, with opening ceremonies at 10 AM. The event is FREE to the public and will close at 4 PM.

The event will feature displays from the Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, local police & fire emergency units, military units, antique cars & airplanes, communications stations, rides for the kids and lot of things to see and do for adults of all ages. Featured on display will be a MH-65C Dolphin helicopter from CG Station Los Angeles, as well as a 25ft. CG Rescue Boat.

The opening ceremony will be announced by Chuck Street of KTLA, and will feature the Coast Guard Auxiliary Honor Guard, a Fly Over by Marine aircraft and a salute to the Tuskegee Airman from WW II. At 12;30 PM, the Good Year Airship Blimp will do a fly over to feature National Safe Boating Week, May 16-23, 2010. The guest speakers will be the Mayor of Fullerton, CA., and several high ranking Coast Guard Officers.

The one-day event is FREE to the public. Food & beverages will be available.
